Finally finished my prototype front brace today, Whooooppyyy! And i'd have to say, it ended up pretty nice. I add some more bracing to what Vince and I did last time, and i added a brake master brace. It's all one piece and bolts to existing holes. You lose space for the spare tire though. Took some serious engineering to make everything work with the least amount of pieces as possible to keep it light. I'll see if I can get Chris to post some pic's , if anyone may be interested in having me make more. Finally got my oil pressure gauge hooked up and tied neatly in place. Next up will be to fine tune my shifter mod and weld it. Clutch feels good, brakes are better, and throttle is solid. Gonna try and finish the fuel plumbing on Chris' car tonight, maybe test fire it, haha. Then hopefully tomorrow put project91 up on the rack and do some more fine tuning with the under panel.

Hey guys. I was going to drop by this morning, I was in town, but we ran out of time. We were staying with my girlfriend's sister and brother in law, and they are like forty-five minutes drive from the shop according to mapquest. I am hoping to make it up before winter term starts though. I'm also hoping to be driving another car before winter term, part of my plan to get the deuce unlimited messing-with time. We'll see. I had a hella finals week and I'm still coming down off the stress high. Anyways, you'll see me soon, hopefully.

Well I just bought another GT celica parts car so anyone looking for a 5s that is spousedly "built" (cough), its got about 130k on it and spousdley ran like a champ untill the owner raced a Mustang and lost it.... By the way it looks I should hopefully wrap up the 3s swap in spring and fineally not be the slowest anymore.

My Passenger side lower control arm bushing went and I need to get it replaced, so how much Zai?

Hey thanks Zai for helping me with the wiring of my new Piaa driving lights they are pretty sweet
Zai that front brace you built looks really good. I can tell you took your time designing and making it. I like that it doesnt just brace accross the top but also braces the bottom section and i can tell the material you made it out of that it is pretty light. If anyone is looking for a front brace you have to see Zai's front brace he made.

Well here it is, the first stages of my site. The forum is all that's up so far and it still needs a lot of work but I thought I would show off my progress.
The Site it's self is still on the drawing board but I should have a first draft online soon.
http://www.matrixgarage.com/forum/index.php

I am still in Colorado and will be here till the begining of Feburary or so when we head to NY.
It looks like it could be up to 6 more months before we get back to PDX but I hope it's sooner than that.
It's good to hear that project's are moving along. I can't wait to get back and get started on some projects of my own.

Allright only 2 more days to go the I get a day off. I have to work saturday but sunday to wendsday I have off so some time between then I'll swing on by.

I decided on a spec stage 3 ceramic clutch for the car but it going to be some time after christmas on that, but I would still like to combine that with the tranny work.

other than that nothing too new, we got those springs installed (jason did about 98% of it!!!) but good old rallitek screwed up yet again and ordered the wrong springs so it's slammed in the back and a 4x4 up front, they suggested to chop them and jason told them to get ****ed

hows the projects going?

sheesh, sounds like you have a plan, hoping it all work out, haha. Guess that means "I" am going to be busy, hehe.

Everyone that has come by the shop really likes the front brace. I'm shooting to build couple more here in the next month or so. For those of you that missed out last weekend. Chris and I were the only two idiots at Damascus U-pullit in the snow storm, heeeh! Everyone seems to have slighlty different opinion on the shifter mod. Mostly the placement, cause it's set for my preference. Anyhow, hoping to make it out to the steel yard some time after christmas, since it's a holiday weekend, so i can make some more front braces and start building the rear over engine one.

Happy Holidays Everyone!

5SFE axles a little far but make him an offer?

http://www.mr2board.com/forums/mk-2-...-fs-parts.html

The other option is once the corolla is running / tagged / licensed we can drop the engine/tranny/axles from my 91 and you are welcome to use it.

So I thought I would post my CRX design.

I want to pickup the CRX as soon as we get back to PDX. The 4X4 conversion is something I would love to see but probably won't happen as soon.
If I have to I will probably use a Rav 4 engine and drive train but I am hoping for something better.
Does any one think a 22r would fit under the hood? I am thinking it might work if I cut out the firewall and moved it back as much as possible.
I haven't found rear controll arms that I like so I am thinking of using 4 runner controll arms front and rear. This would also give me the option of AWS if I got adventurous. Does any one see any downside to using 4runner front controll arms in the rear?
Anyways 14" of ground clearance and 4WD is a bit of a pipedream right now but I would like to see it happen.
