St.Helen's Run
I know I will be there
Here are the basics: Sat., July 8, 2006 -Meet at the Camas Safeway @ 9:00 am -Depart @ 9:30 am -Travel east to Carson, north and northwest to Windy Ridge Observatory, turn back to the south and have lunch in Cougar and then south to Camas. I'll get more details to you later as well as answer questions. If one of them is, "Can I or a buddy come in a non-MR2?," my answer is, "Do you enjoy driving, and hanging with car people?" Bring it on. Because of having some infractions hovering on my record (recall last time we attempted this run) as well as having my wife come along, this is intended as a touring run. However, there will be places where you can put your cars through the paces and easily wait for us to catch up without missing us as we do if that is pleasing to you. Details within the next couple of days. -- Jim Brethauer '91 Steel Gray Turbo Camas, WA "Purify Your Ride" |

Ahhh yes... another Brethauer run! I wonder if I will be able to make it. My dad is coming up from CA to watch me race on sunday, but he'll be up that day too. Maybe I can somehow stuff him into my MR2.

Here are some pic's that Jim took enjoy
Mt St Helens run today was nice. Small, with five cars total. Four met up in Camas and left at 9:30am (Bill, Lynch, Matt and Jim) and Mario caught up with us at the turn as he couldn't get off work in time to start. Mostly touring speeds out of consideration to motion sickness prone passengers. At one point, we did over 100 miles of continuous twisties with no more than 1/4 mile straights unless we were stopped to talk/sightsee. Total driving distance of about 220 miles. Finally got back to Camas at 5:30pm. Plenty tired and a little warm by that time. Pictures can be found at the following http://www.imagestation.com/album/pi...?id=2104417283. If you want original digital pics, don't order them through ImageStation. Tell me the image number from the album and I'll e-mail an original to you. Thanks to those who made the run. We'll see you on the next one. |
