    WTB: OEM 91+ 3-piece wing

Looking for a 3-piece wing from a MKII car.
Condition must be good to great
    must have all mounting hardware.

I've located a few of these already but condition has been bad and usually hardware is missing. Color does not matter.

Figured I'd try local first because it's a bigger part and sometimes people don't want to pack and ship plus it would be nice to inspect the part first hand.

    Thanks!

    Yes, HeythereMR2 is correct.
I looked at a few ebay auctions and some older listings where some of the studs were missing or broken off and none of the bolts came with. Also in one listing it looked as if there were some retainer clips or some additional hardware? not sure.

I have never inspected the installation for a 3-piece wing in person, so I'm not exactly sure what should come with it. I can't use my own car for a reference because I have a 94.

Paly, do you have photos of the wing posted online?

@Xuracing: Great that you have both clips. Do you have pics of your wing online?

@HeythereMR2:Yes those appear to be the clips that were missing from the other listings that I looked at.

To answer your question about going from a 94 wing back to a 91... I know a lot of people want the 94 wings as a kind of status symbol, but imo, Toyota got it right the first time. The integrated 3-piece wing is pure genius of design and it compliments the leading line of the car unlike any of the later wings. I feel like the 94+ and the later GTS wing are the result of 'looking at something too long' and they just couldn't leave it alone so they messed with it, and ruined it... twice.

I'll hang on to my 94 wing so if I ever want to go back I can.

What trunk lid do you have? Do you have an OEM 94? Is it a 91 that was modified to fit the 94? If so, does it have the other spoiler holes on there still? If not, you will also have to purchase a 91 trunk lid because the patterns are different from the 91-93 and 94+. They go for fairly cheap, but I thought I'd let you know if you didn't already.

It's good advice and I appreciate it. Initially I figured that because I'll have to drill holes in to my rear quarters to mount the side bolsters for the spoiler, why wouldn't I just drill the required pattern holes in to my OEM 94 trunk lid? But now that you've mentioned it buying a 91+ trunk would probably make getting the proper alignment much easier.

I'm still not completely set on doing this but I figure actually getting the wing to my house, and tacking it on to the back of the car will help to give me a much better idea if this is the route I want to go.

I'm also seriously considering buying a full toms wing (big upper and duckbill) and also tacking that on to the back of the car and then indecisively contemplating which route to go for the rest of the season.

LOL, I figured this would make everyone crazy.
Ok fine. I'll pick up a 91 trunk lid and spare the 94. Though I'm of the mindset that it's pretty easy to fill those holes, and return the car to stock If I ever needed to.

And for the record. None of my 94 OEM parts will be for sale. Sorry to burst some bubbles. But I'm sure one day, when I retire this car to garage queen status I'll return it to factory stock.

@arber0214: the car is Dark Emerald Pearl.

I recently aquired a 91 NA that has a 98 single piece wing on there and not really a fan of it. My brother seems to like it and said it's really popular but I agree that the 91+3piece looks way cleaner.

Hahaha! I know I'm riling up some purists out there, but the way I see it the 3-piece wing is the way it's supposed to be. It was the original designers vision for the car and I'm just 'correcting' some bureaucratic design-by-committee weirdness that happened later in the MKII's life cycle

Well technically, if your car is a 91, you're being a purist by sourcing a 91 wing
