Hello

Just wondering how many members here live in Houston, TX?

I have a Stock Red 1986 MR2.

im looking for some parts mainly cosmetic such as the front eye slits below the flip up lights (really like to get these first), Side mirrors, front bumper, side vent from the 87 and up MR2's....

also looking for a bell housing with starter location on the intake side. Id like to do a 00+ celica GT-S transmission swap next year.

so now where are yall at?

I'm not in the Houston area but close, Ft. Hood. I don't know about any of the parts your looking for. I just recently bought my first MR2, it's an 88 NA. I love this car.

I'm in Austin... But there are plenty of MR2 owners spread around Texas. Especially in Dallas/Houston/San Antonio

I have a 93 Turbo black. I recently bought the car from another member from CA. Do you know if there is any shop in Houston that specialize in MR2?

The closest one I know is the ATS near Dallas.

Yeah, found one...

enginelogics, they are located in the SW houston...

I have gone over to enginelogics and spoke with Chris(the owner), he seems to me a very helpful guy. Have not had anything done at his shop yet, so can't really comment about anything.

I visited them about 1+ month ago, Chris has 2 mr2s in his garage and at least half a dozen of 3SGTE engine blocks sitting around for building. He seems to know 3SGTE engine inside out. The shop is new and clean, seems to be a good place to me.

Anyone has any other comments about enginelogics?

The bad:
Problems with ChrisK and EngineLogics :(

The above makes me cringe, but he's certainly done great work for many people and is also loved by most of the subaru community in Houston as well.

So, can you suggest anyone else in Houston? that knows MR2. I really like to let someone who knows 3SGTE engine.

I know engine is just engine, but it definitely has an upside if the shop is specialize in the 2.

Do you know anyone in Houston that is good at Accel DFI Gen 6 EMS..? that's what I have on the car.

hey jus7o there was a junk yard off airline and 45 that has two complete mr2s the 87 body style..can't remember what the name was though. go to Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

andy, ..u can try sgp racing off of veterans..they work on mr2s.

i just got into this hobby last yr..got a 91/na and a 93 turbo

Wonderful, so am I... I'm from the Sugarland area... let's get a nice weather weekend and let's show some 2s.... I can also get another friend of mine who also has an NA + a Turbo MR2 to join if we can manage to make it on Sunday...
