Swap installers in GA/TN?

Well, it'll be a good while till I get financial things settled but I will be looking for a 3SGTE clip or complete swap soon for my SW.

Anyway, I just wanted to know if anyone knew some good people (or shops) who can install this swap in an N/A for a reasonable charge. I'm in Chattanooga, TN so around Atlanta to Nashville or Knoxville, it'll be totally awesome. I'm finding some 2nd Gen swaps for around $1500 and hopefully I can make that goal by the end of the year.

Basically, I just wanted to get some feedback from yalls experience.

I was just plugging this shop on another thread, but I gotta say that Balanced Performance has always done me right. I had them do a honda swap and they fixed stuff for free after the fact if it had anything to do with the swap. They're about 45 min north of Atlanta.

Cool, I'll give them a ring. The thing is, though, I *might* have a change of heart and decide to go V6... either way, going to find out what to do with the car before making a choice.

Anyway, the only other shop I've heard so far is AAP motorsports. Anyone else have good experiences with shops or people they know?

Me. I can guarantee I'm the cheapest. I've done several. Only catch is I'm full time college student and I have a job. But I could schedule time to do it. I think my car speaks for my experience but I've done many others, not just Toyota either. Anyway..if you're looking for a cheaper alternative and higher quality work let me know.

FYI: If you go V6 expect your budget to increase by at least 1/3. Also not many shops can honestly stand behind V6 MR2 swaps in the area because most haven't done one. I also think its a waste of time and money unless you plan to turbo it.

Oh man, if there's anyone I'd trust on this board it would be you. And thanks for the tip on the V6... I'm just exploring my possibilities right now. I want to get a clip/swap from Jarco and get it installed down there as well..

Jarco is good stuff, that's where I got my clip. I made the mistake of buying a high mileage clip however (90,000 miles, ~156Km) It only lasted me two years until the head gasket blew. Upon tearing it down I found extreme wear and pieces of the bearings missing! I still believe Jarco supplies quality clips, but I'd stay away from anything north of 50,000 miles. The main guy at Jarco is a master Toyota mechanic so he doesn't screw with you.

Umm... I'm not sure what we're arguing about. I wasn't comparing a honda swap to a 5SFE->3SGTE swap. All I meant was Balanced treated me really well, priced it fair, and stood behind their work. I'm sorry nobody in 'Cisco wanted to do your turbo wiring.

MR2TRD1 - Are you also willing to do Mk1 swaps? Namely 4AGE->4AGZE? PM me with pricing or questions or whatever.

^Autocross rules. I can stay in CSP with a GZE, but not a 20V - that would put me in a class that is too expensive for me. I wish the GZE swap was allowed in STS (I have an 86).
