5 hours!?!?!?! Are you driving a 1966 VW Beetle or an MR2???

It's only 2.5-3 hours depending on traffic... Not that I'd want to drive it every day, but still, 5 hours is a lot more than it should take!

I have a buddy that has a 91T and we hang out doing stuff all the time. Mostly restoring and repairs.

There are a few more but nobody on the boards or at least not actively on the boards.

I used to live in Jacksonville. Good crowd up there back then, larger and better now.

really ive been planning to move up north ( dont like miami very much) but dont know where to move too. well when i finish this 5 speed tranny swap im doing we should do a meet and i would drive up. i wanna meet some cool mr2 fans like myself. ; )

I said SW Florida... not SE Florida. Cape Coral is on the gulf coast, WEST!!! LOL!

Coral Springs is on the Atlantic coast, EAST!!

Yeah I know how you feel. We just had another local pop up and say hello. Has to repaint there MK2 because the PO had put Pep Boys flame decals all over it.

I just wish there were more people in my more immediate area. I'd like somebody to hang with and share a beer with while wrenching. Stuff is boring when you are all alone. And frustrating as hell.

Yeah my buddy Mike is cool, but he lives on the other side of town. It's like 45minutes from his place to mine. He has the garage to work in, but I have a kid. It's hard to bring a kid over and work in the hot garage y'know?

He only watches movies for so long until he wants to see what else is around him and explore. It's frustrating but you can't blame him. Dad is working on that car that you've always seen him work on since you were born, and you like it because it looks like a black Lightning McQueen and it goes fast and woo hoo!

He understands what he enjoys, and sitting outside and being perfectly still for hours at a time is NOT anything anyone would enjoy, especially a curious four year old.

At home, he has all his toys, his room, his house to run around and play in while I'm outside. It's just I don't have a garage. I thought about renting out a 10X10, but I'd be in the same position as if I went over to my friends... what do I do with the kid????
