350hp 1mz
this is up on ebay.
eBay Motors: 350HP Toyota 1MZ V6 3.0L (item 330318450301 end time Apr-03-09 22:01:59 PDT) This is a fully race-built Toyota 1MZ engine. This was used for a season in a Class 1 desert racing buggy. It was pulled at the end of the season, refreshed with new rings/bearings/gaskets and is ready to run. 1MZ block and heads. Blocked bored to 90mm. Displacement is 3.2 liters. Heads ported/polished. TRD springs/locks/retainers. Custom CP forged flattop pistons(with 2 spares-gotta buy them in sets of 8) Will also include a full set of brand new piston rings Carrillo rods (2 spares) Spare crankshaft Set up for dry sump. Includes dry sump pump and custom machined aluminum sump/block stiffener. Bosch 36lb injectors This is a complete long block and includes the balancer, flywheel and water pump. This engine produces 340-350hp. Zero hours since refresh with new rings/bearings/gaskets. This engine is ready to race! This engine set fast lap at Primm a few years ago and got its team onto the podium more than once during that season while racing against the big LS series V8 engines. This would be an incredible engine for any Toyota truck, a class 1 buggy, pre-runner or your sand rail. This was originally mounted in a buggy and I will include the adapter and clutch assembly (Kennedy) for mounting it to a VW based transmission (such as a Hewland/Fortin/Mendiola). I will also throw in another new factory Toyota water pump and a new balancer. And I will include a full brand new set of genuine Toyota valves (14 intake/14 exhaust - yes, I know the engine only uses 12 of each) and a new set of TRD valve springs. As a final bonus, I will include the custom fabbed intake manifold. I also have lots of other spares - timing belts, custom billet adjustable cam gears, cams, etc... that will go with the engine. The development costs of this engine were well over $20K. |

That looks incredible! I saw the post on ebay last week. Look at that freaking intake manifold!! I sent him a message asking if he would be interested in selling his spare cams, but I haven't heard anything back yet....

The seller sent me a message back and said he found a buyer. He did say the cams pulled hard to 8K!

It CAN fit but that leave no room for the axles. move it over to the a/c compressor side and problem solve. Cept for the intake, thats waay to tall to fit on a stock lid

![]() Still, 340-350 hp and a highly strung race engine... seems like it wouldn't last on the streets. Gouky's 2GR made 291 rwhp uncorrected, assuming 17% drivetrain loss that's 340 hp right there on an otherwise stock engine. Sure, the sound of that 1mz @ 8k must be amazing, but for the $$ I'd buy a 2GR + the swap kit and not have to worry about fitment and whatnot. |

As for being "high strung"... The powerband is from about 3K to about 7K. We had the rev limiter set at 8K, and the builder said that we could rev it to 9 if we needed to. It was designed for racing. The engine went a full desert season with ZERO problems. As for the cams, they would not work well on a stock compression engine. No one wanted the whole engine, so I am ready to part it out. |

Naw, I am the next owner. Ask Steve how he likes the custom lifted truck I traded him for the motor
. BTW, I will need one of those mounts from you in alittle bit. I just need to pony up some cash. Any idea what would be best stand alone for this motor? |
