all of them require you to custom build a motor mount for the passenger side...
All of them will use 3 of the transmission mounts from the MR2 transmission of your choice... All of them require you to do custom wiring... All of them require custom cooling lines... All of them require custom ______________... All of them require patience, money, and know-how... Patience, yeah, yeah, yeah... how long will that take? |

guh, i'm more reluctant to help others when they don't do their homework (research) before asking that same old question.

The easiest swap was mine.
Step one: Write a check. Step two: Drive home in V6 MR2. |

i read to what i believe the solora engine can use the standard mr2 tranny with a custom clutch? i found a walkthrough on it, so far the parts i have found online are to be a lil cheaper then the walkthrough i just wanna decide onto somehting before i go poking around in the engine bay i also read not much room after installing the solora engine to fit a turbo without alot of custom made pieces |

The tranny bolts up but the flywheels are different patterns, the 3sgte flywheel can be slotted to fit (as can the smaller 3sge one I think), not sure about the 5sfe flywheel I haven't ****ed with the 5sfe at all so don't know much about them. You can use the turbo flywheel and pressure plate with an n/a clutch disc that works alright (that is "custom"), you can get a turbo plate made with the n/a spline but that is a bit overkill with the n/a box since its open and just spins a tyre when pushed. |

Has anyone noticed any adverse effects from the extra bit of weight in the 3VZ? I would consider the 1MZ for a few reasons.
1. It's been done before (same goes for 3VZ) 2. Aluminum block is light weight 3. Little smoother than the 3VZ |

). Use an LSD when you can no longer put power down efficiently. Don't just put one on because you think it's cool.To make things simpler, use the 3VZ flywheel and pressure plate, and match the clutch disc to whatever transaxle you're using. If an S54, order a clutch disc for an N/A or have a clutch company make an E series disc with S series splines. Last edited by Jason.MZW20; 10-25-2009 at 11:02 PM.. |

It was a joke; though I did do that.
I am about to replace the motor(seized, no oil, random accident) with another 5VZ. I will redo the extra motor mount, since mine is super ghetto. I will wire it better than before. I am looking forward to doing all the work myself. Make your pick and go for it. Last edited by Dance_Business; 10-25-2009 at 11:08 PM.. Reason: spelling error |
