Question 3VZ help

So I have all but givin up. i started this swap earler this year. From a 5sfe to a 3vzfe. I removed the 5s and placed in a good 3vz i got the wiring harness made from phoenix tuning, thanks for the help, and the thing wont start. It wont even turn over. I Have replaced the ignitor and coil i beat the starter. I hooked up a battery directly to the starter to see if it was just the starter that was bad and the thing turned over like a champ. the fuel lines are hooked up and I dont know what else to look at to try to get this motor to turn over. I really need some advise. the last ditch option is to take it to a shop to just finish up although i would have liked to have finished it myself.

i had this problem...too many times check these things
1)check to make sure your starter is seing 12 volts
2)check to make sure the distributor is seeing the voltage as well(that was my problem)

it sounds like your not getting the signal from either your ignition or your igniter which means the ecu has no idea your trying to start the car

If the clock blinks when you try to start it, it's the clutch start switch. The switch completes the starter circuit.

You said it won't turn over, and you tested the starter, which worked fine out of the car. So, ensure the CSS is good.

Next, check the starter relay wiring.

Check all of your other fuses and relays as well, and also your grounds. You absolutely need the big ground cable going from the transaxle to the chassis.

paul woods recommended:
"Check your starter relay is wired correctly....

1. Thick white has 12v at all times
2. Thick black/white has full continuity to the starter solenoid energiser
3. Red wire shows 12v when you turn the key to start
4. White/black is earthed.

Make sure all of the above all check out 100% and you have the main battery connection going to the starter and your gearbox to chassis earth is perfect (double check this as the guys have said, clean the surface of the gearbox where the earth bolts on and also the chassis), and also check you haven't isolated the starter motor by covering it with an excess of paint (it is possible to prevent the starter from earthing onto the gearbox by overly painting it)"

i am in the same boat. mine turns over, gets fuel, gets spark, but wont start. its making me crazy.

at first mine was like yours and would just click. then i realized i wired the above mentioned red wire wrong. i had it connected to a red black wire in the fuse box. it should be on a red white wire with silver dots if it was a manual car or just red if it was an automatic.
