AT Power non DBW 2GR-FE throttle body

Hi everyone,

I work for a company who manufacture a range of throttle bodies. Part of our range is big bore single throttles. CNC machined from billet aluminium. One of our successes was a throttle made for and ran by Roger Clark Motorsport who were last years 2008 UK Overall Time Attack winners in their 850bhp Subaru Impreza.

I'm currently looking into making a 72mm direct bolt on throttle for the 2GR-FE engine that uses a throttle cable. This would mean anyone planning on a conversion for their MR2 can ditch the standard ECU, and run aftermarket, opening the door for big tuning. I don't know yet if people would be interested in this or not. If you are, please send me a PM, or add your name here. We are based next door to Lotus who (as you know) are putting this engine into their new Evora car. Our company is formed from of ex-Lotus powertrain engineers.

I realise this may look like blatant advertising, but what I'm trying to do is add something new to the MR2 community if there is a demand for it. If I go ahead with this, I'm sure you would appreciate being the ammong first to know about it :-)

Hey John, I think you could sell some throttle bodies if you made them for the 1MZ or the 3VZ. I would probably buy one.
