Exclamation WTB: Lower milage MR2 Turbo - Preferably 93+

Im looking for a lower milage MR2 turbo. Preferably a 93+, but if the price is fair, i would definately buy a 91-92.

Please hit me up if you, or someone you know is selling one--good condition.

If you buy Eric's car and mod it out a group of people from the board will find you and cut off your balls.

Of course im going to mod it. Why the F else would i purchase a lower-milage MR2? I cant afford to buy it to put it in my huge garage so people can come over, drink latte's, and discuss its incredible low milage.

Im tracking the car out... Without stripping the interrior to give it a daily driver feel. More or less an USCC car.

Anyway, that ones a tiddy bit to expensive for me

Why do you want a low mileage car for that ? I'm assuming its going to be fully built, what's wrong with a more well used hardtop chassis ?

The inflated price and rarity is what's wrong with it. The car will handle fine with T-Tops. If for some reason im not satisfied with the handling, despite the stiffening parts i plan (front sway, front strut, rear sway, rear strut, vmax torque damper, urithane bushing kit, coilovers, chromoly ball joints, pillowball mounts) then ill weld in a roll cage, custom made to be a little lower-profile.

Anyway, back on topic, Buying lower milage turbo

I came into some money, test drove the other cars, and nothing compares to the lovely MR2 turbo.

I sold my current MR2, i came to the realization that 450hp in a chassis with 200k on it (at least.. MY chassis) wasnt smart.

Check out my car. Miles are a bit high at 116k but engine and turbo have less than 10k miles on them. Maybe we can work something out.

To buy a excellent shape 93+ turbo for under 10k you gonna run into mileage issue...if mileage worries you on a car that has obviously been taken care of then i dont know what to say. I know of tons of 200k+ mileage cars that are many times better and nicer than 50k mileage cars. I have over 100k on my 93t and its more reliable and in better shape than about 90% of the cars on the road that are only a few years old and my car sees the track all the time

There are plenty of 120k and under cars for 8k or less... Its been taken care of cosmetically, sure. Theres no way to tell the health of the motor, though. And at 150k... If i was a bettin man..

There is a way...no smoke, no leak, no using of fuilds, running good = most likely a good motor. I wouldnt have any problem buying a high mileage car thats super nice and original. Specially being that you can put a low mileage engine in it for what? $1000-1500. Paint and body work is where it gets expensive if you want good work.

I think with a 15 year old car you have an equally good chance of finding a good motor in a 115K mile car as a 145K mile, but that's just my opinion.
