Looking for MK 2.. 5k-ish

I'm new here and new to MR2's but i drove a friends recently and fell in love with it.. After some not so smart decitions in my younger days and my RX-7 blowing up on me i've been looking for a new toy to get myself into..

I'm looking for a MK 2, 5spd somewhere in the south.. I'm located in Alabama and am currently trying to sell my B-2500 and plan on using that money to get myself an MR2...

Apparently that car is at a lot right next to our shop and I've seen it before, but I'm a little confused because the one I looked at had 180-something thousand miles, not 85k. I'll go see what the dealio with is and whether or not it is the same car. I think the car looked fairly nice, but IMO the price was high for a 91 NA with 180k+ miles.

Lmao. You sound exactly like my friend Rolando. Loves MR2's...his RX7 motor blew last year, and is still debating on one.

And, erm, I'd let Ncturnal look at the car first if you want to know on buying that. Looks nice though.

I called up there about it and the guy said that it had 85k on it.. but there was another one on autotrader that looked exactly like it and the miles weren't listed.. it also had another pic but the same rims.. confused me a bit...

Yeah i loved that RX but it blew at the worst time. It was right before i went off to school and i needed money as it was. Was forced to sell it. Funny thing is i sold it to a guy that lives in auburn with me and he dropped an LS1 it in.. Still a great car when i got to drive it last week. but so sad

Yeah I've been lookin at those cars too. I carfaxed that gray one and it does have 180k miles on it. I'm in bama too looking for my first mr2. Tryin to get rid of a Honda.

Well i finally got rid of my Truck and now have 6k to spend on a car..

Looking for a MK2.

Turbo is prefered. But can be N/A

what do you think of this?

its a 91 turbo the blue is a respray but as you can see from pic #3 its a good one. im looking for 5.5k ish I'm in NC let me know what you think pm me here or gimme a shout at 828 606 3778 im out to go for a drive right now.

If you were closer i'd be up there today for a test drive.. Has the motor ever been rebuilt or anything?

the motor is a 2nd gen jdm car runs strong if you need references seek out Node and LocoFrancaisMr2Guru here on the board. I also have a vid I can provide
