looking for a project mr2 for the summer.

Hey, im interested in an MKII mr2 to begin working on this summer. 91-95. id like to have a 3sgte in it by the end of the summer, so probably the best thing would be to find a shell or a turbo one that needs body/engine work. I have about 2k now, but I'll be working during the summer and can sell a few things so by the end of the summer i hope to have one running and driving and spend about 4500. Anyone have a shell / turbo mr2 that needs work?

oh, duh! im currently going to school at Penn state (central PA), but I live in northeastern PA. so somewhere close in pa, ny or nj would be great.

i've never found a good way...i've always googled what i was looking for and the word craigslist then look at the city names in the urls listed...just not %100 up to date, sometimes a day or two behind.

yeah... craigslist should set up their site like ebay... one big one haha (minus the auction part i guess). I suppose i should start the never ending search.

Yeah I wish craigslist had a option for ether just a city search or an intire search of craigs list. Heres a link for all the cities they have on craigslist for PA
craigslist: pennsylvania jobs, housing, for sale, personals, services, community, and events
Then you click on which city you want, and when the next page comes up you will see on the left of the page where it says " search craigs list ". Then just type what ur looking for ie. mr2 or mrt2 turbo ect.

I've recently decided to sell my MR2. I will be letting it go for really cheap probably (and also losing a lot of money than what i paid for it lol) It's deff. a project car. The previous owner decided he wanted to spray paint it black primer. I started to wash off the primer and found a perfect orginal white paint job. It had dented fenders, so i replaced them. They need to be realligned once a new hood has been put on it. I also put on a brand new bumper from Toyota when i bought it. It needs to be sanded down and repainted, but it's in great condition. It has no lip on it, but i have one laying around somewhere.

The car barely runs. I am selling it mainly because the engine started to develop a knocking/rattling noise and started to stall out on me while stopped at red lights.

I've done some minor work with the car, mainly just adding stuff that it was missing or replacing broken pieces. I'd rather lose some money and sell it to someone who wants to fix it up than seeing it parted out.

If you are still looking, let me know and we can work something out. I am in the DC area, so not to far from you if you wanted to try and tow it back to PA. (who knows, you might actually be able to drive it home lol)

I'd hate to see it go, as i've had many good times with this car, But i don't have the time, space or money to fix it up. I've moved and started up in school since i've bought it, so needless to say, my situation has changed.

I will entertain offers off this board and locally from my buddies who have more resources than I do to fix it up.
