WTB: MKII '91-'93 bk/bk t-t 5spd $3k+
like in the title I'm looking for a MKII MR2.
years: 1991-1993 Black interior(two tone with tan is okay too)(JUST NOT BLUE(not flattering at all IMO) Exterior preference(in order) Black/White/Turquoise/Silver(preferably factory paint job. but if painted: engine bay painted too) trim: T-top Engine: anything goes(preferably lower mileage)(it can be blown, I might just end up dropping in a new 2.2l engine in it.) Transmission: 5 speed manual(either LSD or not, not too picky) hopefully there are some floating around that don't need that much work, but let me know what you might be willing to negotiate. Currently looking for one in the $3,000 range, that may need about $1000 in repairs to restore to perfect condition. I am located in Middle TN. holla at me on here. thanks! That's pretty rough on how much needs to be done, but the interior is in good shape? could you provide pictures?
all in all needs. *t-top seals $80 *transmission work $200-XXX *new turbo $(depends on the size of the unit and what might be available.) *new breaks all over(the whole system expected? might as well install the turbo model breaks seeing as how it has the jdm turbo engine?) I'm not too into the whole intercooler deal either. usually when you cut something out of factory, it is nearly impossible to restore it to it's original condition. :/ not sure, I'll keep in touch tho bro! |

ill try to get pics of it in and out asap. it sure could use the t-top seals but there not that bad considering others ive seen. tranny in no way needs 200 in work thats prolly what theyed rape you for at a shop. labor rates a bitch like $80+ an hour deff a 2 hour job so i geuss i could see a shop chrageing 200 but the seals are like 13 bucks localy and there so easy to put in. id be willing to even fix em before the car sells if itll help sell it. as far as the turbo gose its up to the new buyer what they wanna out in there u can get a ss auto chrome setup for 400 (i wouldnt but hey to one his own) or replace/rebuild the factory ct-26 prolly 700 or less . even buy a decant used one. for the brakes there just a lil rusty from the car haveing to sit outs side for 3 weeks this feb well my daily driver was being rebuilt. its just pads and rotors. the car has factory 91 n/a brake setup in the front(and from what i remeber its the exact same size rotors and pads as the 93 turbos front brakes any way) its dose have the rear brakes swaped to the bigger 93 turbo rear brakes. i had a whole jspec rear clip when i did the swap. i dont blame you on the intercoller im not a fan any more either its my biggest regret. but really not to hard to make back to normal. yes there is 2 holes cut in the trunks fire wall for the intercoller pipeing and yes there is a hole cut in the trunk floor. no bigger the the area of the fins on the factory intercooler.i was personaly had plans in the past to make cover plated for the holes and put it back in the stock location just never did it. and useing the plates if i ever did wanna do a trunk mount intercooler agein i could.
