There are usually a good number of MR2's on Ebay you can consider buying after you sell your civic. Even if are cars weren't rare/reliable/mid engined/two seater/girl getting/100% sports cars, why would you come onto a forum were the people are dedicated to one particular car to trade them another car. A lot of people on this forum (myself included) have put more money, time, and research into turning their cars into something that they can be unbelieveably proud to own. There is absolutely no way I would ever trade my deuce for somebody else's project. In my opinion you should feel the same way about your car (the list of mods is pretty long). And not to sound rude or anything, but I'm asian and I still would never get into that civic. Riding around in a bubble just ain't my thing.

Holy thread revival batman! But I would rather have a T-boned MKII with a 94 tail over a honda anyday. Just the tail lights and spoiler are worth more than the honda.

i hate no cars. get you where you want to go. i have a mr2 that i rarely drive. and a honda civic.... yes. a civic as my daily driver. so.... no hate for me.

but, i'm on board with selling your civic to someone that want one and use that money to buy yourself a mr2. our mr2 are pretty old. so, most likely you will have to replace the a.c.

and i have not met anyone that would trade in their mr2 for a civic yet. good luck with your sale.

The ego factor in this thread seems pretty high given the guy didn't really attack any of the people having a go at him. Its just not something that is likely to happen but might as well try right there is no shame in asking just in case. I know I would have a go at people if they hated on my ride I put work into. If he came in here all "I'm better than you" it would be a different story but he didn't

I hate hondas but still have respect for them, that DA1 I raced for a while was a trooper. The motors are really bullet proof. And to be honest that car he has there is not slow the lightweight SWB body means it could do some cone dodging pretty well its just not as fun in a fwd, right wheel drive all the way

We ran the DA1 without oil at rev limiter doing a burnout for ages until the track officials told my friend to stop being stupid

i wasn't attacking him at all. i like hondas 2 and i dun really think they are any better or worse than any other car. all cars have goods and bads. as for his, its a nice looking ride. my advice was only for his benifit. he will make more selling the car to people who will enjoy it more. i hope he gets what he deserves for the car.

1991 Honda civic DX sticker price in 1991 was $10,500
it doesnt matter what you have done to the civic its not worth a N/A or TURBO MKII, a B16 is a 800 dollar tops motor and a LS trans is the worst trans to have a B16, that third gear is so long that B16 prob. revs out like a dual point D15 hahahhaha, make fun of camrys all you want that camry even the 2.2L is faster than your crap setup, you have open diff, low HP, long ass gears, and the worst looking color ever GLWTS/T

I actually feel sorry for the guy he has put work in and gets a bunch of smack talk for it. No its not everyone's cup of tea but that car can move pretty quick I assure you. Its a honda yes but I have been beaten by cars running this exact setup at the track they go better than you think especially with a fuel computer and v-tec controller. And if you bump the rev limiter to about 9ish those long ratios are pretty good, 9k on a b16a is a piece of chocolate cake as well. At about 10k you start to worry a little. I spend too much time around hondas I'm starting to stand up for them

I may not like honda but I'm still going to tell people what's what with the car. Wow. After reading 90% of the comments on this board I'm proud to own a honda. This is probably one of the least welcoming and definitely the rudest forum I've ever been on. Most of you people have it in your heads that you're better than everyone else just because you own an mr2. I didn't come here saying that my car was better than ANY of yours I was just trying to spark some interest and see if there was anybody who also had an interest in tuning hondas (as well as toyotas) that might be willing to trade, even with cash on my end. If you have no interest in trading, don't post. It's simple, you don't have to be a douche and cut other people down. The car was EXTREMELY well built. If you think that hatch was soo slow I have quite a few vids of it on the track. I put a bus length on a 99 Si with I/H/E even with my "****box transmission". The car held its own against any other NA car I've put it up against. Oh, and to the guy who made a comment about it having an $800 engine? So what? Are you forgetting the $4,000 or so in other mods? David, you say you only bash on ricers... How the hell do you consider me a ricer? Please tell me because I would LOVE to know.

Anyways it's gone now. Has been for a while. I sold it, turned it around, and bought a Chevrolet Tahoe AND a 97 EK hatch. At least on the honda forums they're a bit more welcoming, even if the person is only interested in them. Good riddance.

I got quite a fair amount for it. Enough for 2 vehicles.

New hatch. (soon to be lowered on white wheels)

Tahoe with a decent system setup for SQL.

And one of the vids of my piece of **** "ricer" hatch low 9 sec 1/8th mile runs.. best of the day was 9.15 or about a 14 sec 1/4 mile. Not bad for NA with some ITR cams. The car in the last race had a 383 stroker.

that was pretty d**k the way some of ya'll welcomed him to the board. Sure the trade probably would have never happened but damn he had a pretty clean civic that was in no way riced out.

All you had to do was say good luck with your quest to find an mr2 instead of bashing him.

The reason i liked this board when i joined is no one bashed people for what they had and offered advice to fix things on their cars to make them better. Here recently this board has gone to **** on that department. All i see now is people hating on others.
