I'm located in Central IL. 1.5hrs east of STL and 3.5 hours south of Chicago. Looking for something worth as much as my baby and taken care of just as well.

I forgot to mention, I'm also looking for something with working AC. One of the main reasons I'm trading my current car off.

Honda civics are kind of the antichrist here, but good luck with the sale/trade.

LOL... this is too funny.

Common guys give him a break. Think positive, atleast we know he likes MR2s ,and thats 1 thing we have in common... right?

No but seriously, 99.9% of mr2 owners dis-like civics.

Wow. You don't have to be rude. I'm trying to trade a tastefully modified car for a bone stock one of about the same era and you're acting like im expecting too much. It' not like I'm coming on here with a rust bucket with a fart cannon and 300k miles and expecting a fully built mr2 in return. I know plenty of toyota enthusiasts who are interested in hondas as well. Just because you arent doesnt mean you have to be ignorant. Maybe I'll have better luck trading my grandmother's camry? hahahaha

Bwahahaha! A civic for a mr2 are you serious? An yeah It is asking tomuch if you ask me. Mr2 is less common rear engine rear wheel drive 2 seater. Yours is a dime a dozen front wheel drive ( ie not cutting dougnuts) civic. Just cause they are close to the same era doesn't make them a good trade mods or no mods on your car. Especialy for the condition you're looking for. There 2 different class cars 2 different types of owners. Do like the one guy said an just sell it an buy a 2.

No but seriously, 99.9% of mr2 owners dis-like civics.

that is not true! i LOVE civics. as a matter of fact, i just bought a 92 hatchback 3 days ago and i'm gonna turn that into a budget project car.

to the OP: you will never find somebody that will trade you for your civic (ESPECIALLY AN EF! lol)... maybe a partscar mr2 or one that's really beatup that somebody is trying to unload for a reliable car. but for real, if we wanted a civic, 99.7% of us would just go out and buy one. they're great cars. however, they don't have the "rare" and "exclusivity" factor as mr2s do. and, arn't even in the same league when it comes to sexiness. civics are a dime a dozen and can be picked up anywhere anytime... catch my drift?

sell the civic and jump into a non-turbo mr2 if you can.

goodluck

/thread

ninja edit: maybe you could try trading for an mk1 mr2? that's a more reasonable trade.... just a thought.

civics are good cars dont get me wrong... but so is any car that gets you from point A to point B ... Mr2s are a class of they're own.

The seats are really nice though...

EDIT: Also, you really should consider selling the civic. You're more likely to find someone who actually wants a civic elsewhere, and like others said, rare rear wheel drive mid engine car for a modified front wheel fail drive car just isn't a fair trade.

Props to your taste though. It's all VERY clean and looks to be very well done. I love to see cars that are put together well even if it's not a car that I have wet dreams about. *ahem*

Be nice guys it's not like he came in with a piece of junk. That is a legitimate well built machine that he has put many hours and pay checks into, and I bet it would give many of you a run for your money on a autocross track. Nor did he come in with a "mine is better then yours" snotty attitude. Lets be more mature and help the lad into a MR2.

My advice: Sell the car to someone as passionate about Honda's as the lot here are to Toyota's. Then with said money pick up your shiny (or not so shiny) MKII.

Good luck with the working A/C though. I wonder how many peoples MKII have working A/C ^_^

Clean car..... I know about 10 ppl out here in cali that would pick that up from you in a second but everyone that I know that has an mr2 loves it and wouldnt trade it for anything less than an elise, like everyone is saying sell it on craigs or autotrader and buy an mr2 you will get it faster and you will end up with a better car.
