WTB MKI near MD

Looking for an MK1 near MD preferably under 2000, willing to work on it, and put money into it. I'm a poor college student, and I've been into MR2s for a few years now, and am slowly trying to save up for one. Preferably looking for a beat up MR2 that runs. I am mechanically inclined so I can fix her up and give her the love she needs.
