WTT: Mazda RX-7 Twin Turbo for MR2
I'm looking to getting a MR2. I will do any generation, but I really want a MkII. If it's a MkII, I really want a turbo, and T-Tops helps too! MKIII's are great as well. I like Yellow, Red, Black, and the Dark Blue. Gonna have to be manual.
I'm in the Colorado Area, 81003. My car has 136k~ on chassis, and 49K~ on engine. Is still driven often, so miles may increase slightly. Car is in excellent running order, and just really looking to downsize. I'd really like a MR2 + Cash, if someone can do. GIve me a call at (719) 406-0718. My bro will probably trade his 3rd gen swapped 93 MR2 Turbo, ttops, 199k on chassis, for your FD, but no can do on the cash.
Made 249whp with dpipe, 229whp with stock exhaust. ![]() ![]() Oh and he says he will fix the front end damage caused in transit to ATS for a straight up trade. Last edited by 3sgtepower; 11-20-2009 at 11:27 PM.. |

Lol! Yeah, I'm just really hoping to find someone with an MR2 and some cash. If I just sold it for cash, I'd buy an MR2 anyway, maybe someones got what I need.
I dunno, just checking it out, you know? ![]() |

I didn't say that. I said that I'm more interested in a MR2 plus cash, because I need a little scratch, otherwise I wouldn't be asking for money. Your bro couldn't offer up cash and I politely declined your offer.

Yeah man, I do know nothing about MR2 turbo. Never had one, never bought one. All I have is info from websites to take a guess. It wouldn't be able to do a trade for the FD straight up, it's just not something that would work.
I'm sorry if I offended you and your brother, but I'm only trying to get an idea of the value. I didn't feel I was being aggressive, but maybe I came off wrong. I wasn't taking a stab at you. |

Well the actual value of a nice 93+ MR2 turbo is about $6k - $8k depending on condition.
A 3rd gen swapped car adds about $2k to that and a real nice condition car can get even more. So actually a stright up trade is not that far off for a nice condition 93+ 3rd gen swapped car. If i was to sell my car i would ask about $10k as an example. |

Right on, well that's good to know. I wish I had known or there was an area to see some examples. I've seen a few on Ebay, but even nice ones are like 5kish, and there's little to no MR2 action on Craigslist in CO.
And again, it's not like I'm trying to find a car of equal, I honestly had a lesser MR2 and some cash in mind. 'Cause the whole point is to downgrade and get some scratch so one of my family members can get a decent car. I think I might have worded things a little wrong. I'm not in the BEST financial situation so I'm just treadin' carefully. |

Most of those cars sell for les for a whole host of reasons, most are 91/92 for 1 thing. a lot are NA cars. And others have issues. There was a nice 3rd gen swapped car that sold just a few weeks ago for $12k IIRC. and i know of at least 2 others being sold for $17 - $20k right now.
