Problem with Konig Chrome Wheels
I purchased 17" chrome Konig Prophet wheels less than 2 years ago and the chrome is already starting to pit and rust. These wheels have less than 2000 miles on them and they have never been exposed to anything bad. My car is stored during the winter and I keep the car and wheels clean all of the time. The Konig rep. basically told me that it was somehow my fault and try some chrome paste to make them look better. The warranty is only one year and I suspect that the thickness of the chrome is meant to last about that long. I am very meticulous about the care of my car. I'm very disappointed with Konig quality and I will never buy Konig wheels again. BTW, these were not cheap wheels. I paid over $1200 for the set.

That's disappointing. I'm sorry to hear that. Perhaps you should make a bigger stink with Konig. Sometimes they will give in if they think you won't go away or will cause them bad publicity. Good luck.

Wow, I always hate to hear when such a large and quite popular company ****s on people. Granted a one year warranty is one year but when you are a mid range wheel company you should be fighting to keep every customer happy, IMO a 500$ set of wheels better last longer than a year if they are used casually and well maintained, A 1200$ set of wheels better last at least 5 yrs. if well cared for. I would talk to more than one of the reps./ Managers until they compensated for selling me junk. Good Luck man, please keep us updated......if they leave you hanging i will not buy from them and i will let everyone i know about your experience with Konig, Maybe you are a rare case but its unacceptable IMO.

Sorry to hear that but a friend of mine had the same problem a few years back. They basically brushed him off and told him to take better care of his rims next time. Good luck anyway
