The drive began with 6 MR2's arriving at the Grand Slam U.S.A. Parking lot
in Woodburn, located on 99E. We were able to welcome 3 new members to the
club. The club members had an opportunity to swap some tech talk, look
over each other's twos then at 12:15P we went north on 99E to HWY 214
intersection and headed toward Mt. Angel driving through the German
village and south to Silverton. We arrived in Silverton for Lunch at the
"Home Place", where more tech talk and stories were swapped. After an
excellent lunch it was south on HWY214 and onward to the foothills with
some of the best-banked curves available in the Willamette Valley.
Our first stop was North Falls Overlook. A stretch of the legs and photo's
were taken. The next stop was the South Falls Day Use area. The hike under
the falls took about 25 minutes with rests along the way to cool down.
Finishing the South Falls area, we continued south on HWY214 toward the
Willamette Valley Observation Point. After that photographic session, we
again traveled south on HWY 214 through some great curves and beautiful
scenery toward HWY22 then onto I-5
We hope you can join us for future events with the club
